Gorgeous Homes of Edenton, NC

I am not sure if I have mentioned it before or not, but my family somewhat splits our time between our South Carolina home and Edenton, North Carolina.  Edenton is pretty new to us and exploring it continues to be fun.  It is a little gem that lies on the Albemarle Sound in the north-eastern corner of North Carolina.
The streets are lined with amazing historical homes that look like something out of a movie set.  Seeing as Charleston, SC is my favorite city you wouldn't think the homes in Edenton would be so noteworthy, but trust me when I say, it is well worth a visit if you love history and old houses!

Edenton also has some pretty fabulous restaurants and cafes. As a matter of fact,  I had the best biscuit I have had in a VERY long time last weekend at 'Nothing Fancy Cafe in downtown Edenton!  There are also some cute little boutiques that hopefully I can share about in another post sometime soon.  It is truly refreshing that Edenton  has preserved it's quiet history and  community which continues to have a thriving downtown with every store front filled.

Oh how wonderful to see Edenton! We were stationed in NC in the early 90's and drove through a few times on our way to the Outer Banks. Lovely little town and what gorgeous pictures!

Edenton is my home town and I miss it so much. I am even thinking of moving back in a few years. I love the small town life. Enjoyed your kind words of the most beautiful town I know.

Edenton is my home town. It is the most beautiful small town I have ever seen. I enjoyed your kind word about Edenton, NC. I go back to visit every few years and it still looks the same as it did when I was a child.

I've never been there but would like to. I used to work here in DC with a young girl from Edenton. Sweetheart of a young lady.
